Escape to the rustic charm of our Log Cabin, nestled beside the Woolshed. This cosy retreat sleeps up to 5 guests and features:
- 2 single beds on the ground floor
- 3 additional single mattresses on the mezzanine
- Lighting and heating for a warm and comfortable stay
- Sheets, pillows, and pillowcases included — bring your sleeping bags or duvets
- Surrounded by walking tracks and stunning mountain views

The adjacent Woolshed offers shared amenities, including:
- Kitchen – equipped with all the essentials
- Large gas BBQ
- Shower and toilet
- Separate toilet block
- Dining / Seating areas
- Crackling logfire – perfect for warming up after a day’s adventures
- Expansive decking on which to sit, eat and take in the views
Need to Know
Check-in from 2:00 pm, check-out by 10:00 am.
The Log Cabin has lighting, heating, and space under lower beds for storage. Deck seating is available and stored under a lower bed. It utilises our Woolshed for shared kitchen, dining & bathroom facilities.
Bedding: Please BYO Sleeping Bags or Duvets (Blankets). Pillows, Sheets, and Pillowcases are supplied.
Please contact us if you require bedding – this can be hired for a charge.
Toiletries: Personal medical, shower and bathroom supplies (shampoo, soap, etc.)
Headtorches / Lamps: For use between The Woolshed and cabins/toilet block, and in the cabins themselves.
Footwear: With wooden flooring, we recommend bringing indoor shoes/slippers/slip-on shoes for wearing inside the cabin and The Woolshed.
Clothing: We are in a sub-alpine environment – please bring appropriate clothing and footwear to cater for all forms of weather!
Food and Drink supplies: self catering.
Self-cater in the Woolshed kitchen. Tea/Coffee supplies provided. We have fridge/freezer and containers for food storage, a microwave, hot plates and toastie pie machine. A BBQ is available to use.
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.
The water in the Woolshed is UV Triple Filtered and safe for drinking.

These would be required to be paid for and picked up in Kaikoura Township, before your journey to our station.
Self-Drive
You are welcome to bring your vehicle; however, we recommend a 4WD-capable vehicle, as you will cross four small fords along Puhi Puhi Valley Road. The road conditions require good suspension and reasonable chassis clearance.
